Herbs, seasonings, food and lifestyle all work together as a key component in forming your body. It is the Earth energy
you work with on you journey here. The herbalist is a person you can go to and describe your health challenge who then
will suggest herbs or lifestyle changes that will naturally change how you body is created.
We all know the analogy to stress that it breaks down the body so I will go on to a less familiar example. If you look at the Acupuncture Five Element Chart you will see that kidneys and bladders are under the Water element. Examples of natural
foods that come from water are watermelon and cranberries. If you suffer from chronic kidney or bladder infections then
adding these items to your diet will naturally draw energy and strengthen those organs. Often this is all you need to
prevent those problems. Another example would be the heart, Fire element, and a simple herb or season that corresponds
to that element is Cayenne Pepper which many believe will strengthen that organ. Every organ has foods and herbs that
will correspond to them in this way. You like certain foods because unconsciously they reinforce and agree with your beliefs to bring about the expereinces you hold at the deeper levels of your Unconscious. Learning and applying these principles can be enough to set you free from illness and
pain.
If after applying these ideas your health challenge still persists then take it to the next level and look deeper for the cause.
A quick look at any Five Element Chart will fuel some ideas but also remember to inspect your beliefs then re-affirm your
health. I believe there are always patterns in life leading to illness but while many believe it is the lifestyle that brings on
the illness I think we choose the belief then we naturally are guided to the lifestyle that goes with that belief.
Most of the older healing models had hundreds of years to learn from experience what foods, herbs and lifestyles worked
to promote the various organs. As an example, an acupuncturist who can read pulses listens to your symptoms then reads
your pulses knows what pulses create those symptoms. He/she can now suggest treatment or supplements and re-read
your pulses to verify they have changed more towards normal. They can know or discover what will work and what does
not simply by feedback from your body. Balancing those pulses should restore health and freedom from pain.
