In simple terms, your beliefs about your illness will directly effect your illness process. Change them in your favor and you will alter the outcome. There is no limit to healing at this level and this applies to both the mental and physical realities. You can create change to the extent you can truly affect those beliefs. Here anyone can be magical and the results can be amazing. Your own beliefs are your limits. It only requires your time and committment. Think of it as free medicine.
It has been my observation that here in the West most people go to the technology based medicine then if that fails to bring them to where they wish to go they look further, further being the alternative medicine world. If they find satisfaction they stop there if not the last stop is the more spiritual side of healing. Not all follow this path many just stop and accept their condition as what it is. There is a clear relationship between Mind and Body that can be seen in every emotional reaction because those emotions spring from the belief level of being. This relationship is an untapped universe that often makes the difference between success and failure. Here in these pages I have assembled tips and practices I have seen work many times.
The mind is the designer and carries the plans for the body. As an example, in cancer
challenges you can remove the tumor and briefly help the body but if you do not match that treatment with a shift at the
mental level the mind will recreate the conditions again. It is not a conscious effort but the result of ideas held
outside the conscious mind. Further, the intent of the unconscious is to do good and bring happiness but it will not
think against the conscious level so old forgotten ideas kick in and run unattended. Your ideas about life,
relationships, your being and life's potentials are effecting every major incident in your life. You can through
contemplation discover the beliefs directly. Or, you can pay attention to your emotions because your emotional
reactions are based upon your beliefs. Each time you feel an emotion ask your self "What do I believe that makes me
feel this way?" then pay attention to your thoughts. If you are being challenged and experiencing depression ask
your "What am I learning here?" or "What is the lesson or blessing in this experience?". Doing this will put you on
the path to self discovery and help you reframe your experiences in a more positive light.
Regarding mental illness, in reviewing the Cayce Readings it is interesting to note they saw many causes for this condition. Some had arrived there from early experiences while others had more physical problems with organs, glands the spine etc. Essentially, it was seen as an incordination at the physical level causing the person to be unable to experience and respond to life like most of us. Because the causes were many the cures were likewise covering all manor of therapy. However, cleaning up the diet, adding any good natural based supplement, clearing past expereinces through friends, teachers or others and getting a good spinal checkup would cover the vast majority of problems. It is also interesting to note that in acupuncture the brain is thought to be more of a summary of the other organ/components so if any are out of control or very weak it would naturally create mental issues or challenges. You could add to this a good physical but Western Medicine is aimed at solving problems so unless you have something solid to go on you are going to spend a lot for little.
