
I noticed many years ago that if I cut myself it was normal for there to be a small area of redness around the cut. I
also noticed that if I took Vitamin A which used to come from fish liver oil the redness went down quickly
often in 20-30 minutes. Now I take Beta Carotene made from the yellow portion of vegetables. The
Beta-Carotine does the same but is much safer not having any of the down side of an oil which can accumulate in
the body. Water based vitamins can be more easily excreted through the kidneys so, in general, they tend to be
safer.
Few people understand the skin breathes and is one of the bodies organs for storing and eliminating
toxins. First, through sweat many things are excreted. Second,the body can store things as seen in moles, tags etc. Last the body simply pushes the skin out replacing it from the inside and in this action forces elements in the
skin to be cast off.
The Cayce readings had a very interesting concept about skin stating that many skin problems were the result of poor eliminations. The readings saw three primary areas or processes affecting physical life. Intake, assimilation and excretion. Since skin is an organ under the excretion process it would have problems when the other aspects of excretion were not functioning correctly. Drinking sufficient healthy non-chlorinated water, regular bowel movements, modest exercise, clean diet and healthy breathing would cover most needs. Non-chlorinated water because while chlorine may be good to kill germs it must be removed from the body which places an additional burden on the lungs, liver or kidneys. If they are already weak it just adds to their burden. Additionally, the water balance in the body is maintained by the kidneys as you drink more water the kidneys act to remove that water and in so doing remove some toxins plus minerals most notably potassium from the blood stream. The stomach and intestines must pass food in an orderly manor too fast and the nutrients can't be absorbed (assimilation) too slow and the contents can become toxic or over processed and unusable. This rhythm is some what individual but if you are having skin problems it is an area of concern. Apples are a good natural intestinal stimulant plus you can find fiber laxatives in most stores. A word of caution if you use laxatives frequently your colon may be come depend upon that level of stimulation it leads to an unhealthy condition. Building your overall health will over time naturally bring about a healthy colon. Occassionally flushing the colon with high fiber cleansers has benefits but only done with the idea it is a start followed by a clean diet and what ever else is needed to improve the body overall.

I personally have noticed I can only tolerate so much sugar. I can have a donut or two so long as I do not repeat it
for a day or two. If I do I begin to see dandruff. My body simply starts pushing more of the sugar or sugar
by-products out through the skin. If I avoid sugar for a day or two I return to normal. It is not a big deal except I
mention it for those people who like me have this sensitivity and perhaps have not understood it.
Skin fungus:
I have never had to deal with skin or nail fungus but I have known two people I trust who have corrected their
conditions by using the following methods.
First, I know a man who went a local acupuncture doctor for a head related condition. He also had a small toenail
fungus. As a part of her treatment she tonified, (stimulated) the stomach meridian and in doing so healed the toe
condition. It took several treatments over several weeks but the nail cleared and is normal. At a later time he had
a re-occurrence of the fungus but I had suggested he try Panax Ginseng and Astragalus for more energy and well
being. He found the Astragalus first and started taking a single capsule per day and his toe healed again.
Astragalus is an immune builder and by that I mean an energizer perking up the whole being especially the bodies immune defenses. It is conceivable he is unique and this is just what he needed at this moment. Only time will
tell but if you are facing this challenge consider this herb as an asset in your recovery.

I urge you to read the package insert. The insert explains exactly how the medicine should be used. Many of the prescription medicines have very severe side effects with certain foods.
